British Science Week 2025 is coming!
The celebrations proper may not be kicking off until 7-16 March 2025, but your British Science Week fun can start now! We’re excited to announce that we have now published our free activity taster pack.
You read that right, pack singular! This year we have brought activities for Early Years, Primary and Secondary aged audiences into one bumper pack.
The pack, created with the support of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), includes activities for young people aged under 5 to 14+, and contains inspiring stories of role models from our Smashing Stereotypes campaign.
In addition, we’ve included lots of advice and tips for applying for a British Science Week Kick Start Grant to help schools in challenging circumstances fund their activities. You’ll also find information on applying for British Science Association’s Engage Grant to cover the costs of running CREST Awards, and suggestions for including CREST activities in your activities for the Week.
The theme for 2025’s packs and poster competition is ‘Change and adapt’, and the taster pack provides fun and engaging ways to introduce this theme to the children.
The main activity packs will be released in January 2025.
