We’re sad to announce that Science Live is closing down. Science Live is a listings website run by the British Science Association (BSA) where scientists and others can offer their services as a science presenter, members of the public can hire science presenters/speakers and organisers can list events.
Science Live was initially set up in 2017 with funding from Wellcome and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
The website is mostly used by organisations to promote their events in the lead up to British Science Week. However, in recent years we have seen a decline in the level of traffic on the platform, to the point where we do not believe it is sufficiently meeting the needs of our audiences and stakeholders.
Science Live will be shut down on 24 June 2024. Prior to the website closing, we will be emailing all users. Once the site has been closed however, all users’ data will be deleted from the server.
The BSA will be looking into alternative ways for people running events for British Science Week to publicise these.
