Poster competition winners 2019 announced!

 

We are delighted to announce the winners and runners up of this year’s poster competition!

The theme for 2019 was journeys, and we received over 6,000 entries!

We have one winner and two runner ups for each of the 4 categories: Early years, Infant, Junior and Secondary.

Early Years Winner

Poster entitled 'Water journey', featuring photographs showing how, using coloured dye, the journey of water from glass to glass using paper towels as bridges, can be tracked.

Infant Winner

A poster about the journey of Amy Johnson, the first woman to fly solo from England to Australia.

Junior Winner

A poster on the annual migration of the monarch butterfly.

Senior Winner

A poster entitled 'Earth from crust to core, a possible journey', which details the different layers of the Earth.

Popular vote

The winner of the popular vote (hosted on our Facebook account) was Yatheka from Sutton High Junior School and her poster ‘The Ugly Journey of Our Trash’

Thank you to everyone who entered our competition! We had some wonderful entries that captured our imagination and showed the incredible skill and passion for science.
