There will be fun for all the family at the British Science Week mini-space festival from 08.00 – 12.30 on Saturday 11 March at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.
Whether or not you have a friend or family member running our 10k race, Run the Solar System, pop along and join us at our special ‘space-themed’ race village for a FREE morning of hands-on activities and demos.
There will be plenty of things things to see and do as well as refreshment stands:
- Try out a telescope;
- Join in a solar observation;
- Immerse in virtual reality;
- Get up close to a real-life spacesuit;
- Marvel at spacecraft technology;
- Give balloon experiments a go;
- Decorate space cookies;
- Draw your own planet; and
- Have fun in our space-themed photo booth!

There is no need to book. Just head for the ArcelorMittal Orbit and South Lawn and look out for our signs to ‘space village’ when you enter Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
