 Balderstone Primary School
Balderstone Primary School is a small, rural school in the north-west of England. For British Science Week, the teachers planned ‘Balderstone Goes Green’, an event designed to teach children about biodiversity by having pupils in all year groups planting different flowers and vegetation around the playground.
Canonbie Primary School
Canonbie Primary School is small, rural school in the south of Scotland. Canonbie Primary worked closely with local businesses working food and textiles for British Science Week to show the children the range of jobs that utilise STEM skills.
Ysgol Bae Baglan
Ysgol Bae Baglan is a large school is Port Talbot Wales, which teaches children aged 3-16, which a percentage of children who are eligible for free school meals, and a high percentage of child with special educational needs. For British Science Week, Ysgol Bae Baglan asked pupils to design insulative jackets for water tanks.
Langney Primary Academy
Langney Primary Academy is a school in the south east of England, in an area of high deprivation. Langney Primary ran a British Science Week project which showed the older children innovative ways to grow fruit and vegetables with hydroponics kits.
Germoe Community Primary School
Germoe Community Primary School is a small school in the south of England with high levels of SEN pupils and pupils eligible for pupil premium. For British Science Week, Germoe Primary ran a week of activities about the brain and how AI robotics are becoming part of life.
